The village of Muthill, near Crieff is an honoured participant and prize winning entrant in the Scotland in Bloom floral display competition for the country's towns and villages. Every building, green areas and lamp posts is resplendent with dazzling arrays of hues and colours. floral displays a variety of dazzling colours.

This picturesque conservation village has over ninety listed buildings and some fine examples of 18th century Scottish vernacular architecture.

The earliest part of Muthill Church is the bell tower which dates to around 1140. This was originally a free standing structure. The foundations may be as old as 9th Century.

Muthill has an excellent folk museum housed in an 1760 Georgian cottage nearby.

Drummond Castle situated within 20 minutes walking distance of the Commercial Hotel, Muthill, is one of Scotland's most famous formal gardens. Founded in 1491 by Sir John Drummond, the gardens are laid out Italian style with a sundial central feature.
